Is waxing painful?
Most clients are surprised by how manageable it is. Our specialists work efficiently and use techniques that reduce discomfort—especially with hot wax for sensitive areas. We always prioritise comfort and check in throughout the service.
Hot wax vs strip wax
Hot wax is ideal for sensitive areas (face, bikini) and adheres to hair rather than skin for a gentler removal. Strip wax is great for larger areas (legs, arms, back) and removes hair quickly and efficiently with cloth strips.
How long do results last?
Typically around 3–5 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and the area. With regular appointments, many people find regrowth feels softer and sessions feel easier over time.
Before your appointment
Arrive with clean, dry skin (no heavy oils/lotions on the area). Hair should be long enough for the wax to grip properly—if you’re unsure, we can advise when you book. If you’ve got very sensitive skin or are using active skincare on the face, tell us first so we can guide you safely.
Aftercare (so skin stays calm)
Avoid heat, heavy exercise, hot baths/saunas and fragranced products on the area for the first 24 hours. We’ll also advise on calming moisturisers and (when appropriate) gentle exfoliation to reduce ingrowns.
